Done

  • Proxmox server provisioned, HAOS VM running
  • ESPHome installed, omega-office satellite flashed and online
  • On-device wake word detection confirmed working (Okay Nabu, micro_wake_word)
  • Single-bus I2S topology validated, boot sequencing sorted
  • SONOFF Zigbee USB coordinator installed
  • First Zigbee device live — SONOFF S60ZBTPG smart plug (3d_printer)

In Progress

  • Full voice assistant pipeline — voice activity detection, speech-to-text, response playback on the confirmed working I2S architecture
  • Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA evaluation and configuration

Planned

  • Custom “Omega” wake word — training via microWakeWord trainer on Mac Studio, replacing “Okay Nabu” with something that fits the project
  • Tado replacement — local heating control via Zigbee TRVs
  • Ring replacement — local cameras, local NVR, no Amazon
  • Govee replacement — Zigbee bulbs throughout
  • Additional OMEGA satellites — other rooms, same architecture
  • Proper dashboard — status, device health, nothing cloud-dependent

Maybe

  • Matter/Thread evaluation once the ecosystem matures
  • Energy monitoring across Zigbee smart plugs
  • Presence detection without cloud (local BLE or UWB)
